GPY&R Melbourne + Leo Burnett Sydney lead Aussie agency pack at 2012 YoungGuns Awards

Mobile Medic.jpgGeorge Patterson Y&R Melbourne and Leo Burnett Sydney lead Aussie agency pack at this year’s YoungGuns Awards that celebrate the ideas and young talent across the globe.

George Patterson Y&R Melbourne walked away with one Gold, one Silver and one Bronze for the Australian Defense Force’s ‘Mobile Medic‘ campaign.

Bundy_Red_Catfish_Award-thumb-400x265-83855.jpgLeo Burnett Sydney scored one Silver and two Bronze for Diageo Bundaberg Red campaign, ‘Catfish‘ and ‘Catfish, Pig, Butterfly‘. Leo Burnett’s Matt Swinburne, art director, and Mike Felix, copywriter, were the highest ranking Young Talent from Australia, coming in at equal 17th place. Leo Burnett Worldwide was crowned YoungGuns 2012 “Network of the Year”.

vodafone.jpgRecent RMIT graduates, Luke Falkland-Brown and Jackson Harper, have won a silver bullet at the Young Gun International Awards. The piece, titled Donate your Data, was the only winning student entry from Australia. The duo have had a successful year, winning a D&AD Best of Year in April, and getting the chance to speak to David Droga after running a campaign to get his attention called Come Home Droga.
