Naked Communications appoints Catherine Donnelly to head of PR role in its Sydney office
Today Naked Communications has announced that Catherine Donnelly has joined the team as head of PR in its Sydney office.
Her appointment aims to build on the agency’s groundbreaking approach in integrating PR with insights, brand strategy, communications strategy and ideas.
Donnelly has had a 12-year PR career to date, working with world leading brands that include Sony, Tourism Australia, PlayStation, Foster’s, Xbox, Vodafone and Electrolux. She was most recently the Sony business director at Hausmann Communications, managing the agency’s Sony Australia, Sony Computer Entertainment, Sony Mobile and Sony Foundation accounts. Prior to that she was the youth and entertainment segment lead at Pulse Communications.
Says Donnelly: “After so many years in PR, I craved working in a non-traditional environment and with people who are wired differently to us PR folk. Working with Naked on Sony was one of the highlights of my last role so the opportunity to collaborate with the brilliant minds and brands there was completely irresistible. PR has changed and no longer functions on its own or in a purely traditional sense so Naked’s fully integrated offer and rejection of silos makes sense. I haven’t been this excited in years.”
Says Mike Wilson, Naked chairman ANZ: “We’re lucky to have worked with Catherine on the Sony business, so we know we’re getting the best. We are definitely looking forward to accelerating the growth of this part of the agency under Catherine’s leadership.”
Some of the Naked clients Catherine will be working with include Pernod Ricard, Horticulture Australia and InMobi.
