Curious Film’s Syd Garon receives Emmy nomination for ‘Superheroes’ documentary

Curious Film’s Syd Garon has been nominated for an Emmy Award under the category Outstanding Individual Achievement in a Craft: Graphic Design & Art Direction for his recent title design and animation on ‘Superheroes’, a HBO documentary directed by Michael Barnett.
Superheroes follows the lives of several everyday people as they dress up in costumes and fight real crime with varying levels of success.
Says Garon: “I ended up working with multiple artists, each one drawing in a unique comic style to illustrate the various characters’ back stories. The Superheroes documentary was a dream project to work on, a blast to animate with almost total creative freedom.”
