Greater Building Society launches new “Greater Moments” campaign via Loud and Jungleboys
Loud, Sydney and Jungleboys have teamed up to create a new integrated campaign for Greater Building Society. The campaign titled “Greater Moments” includes TV, Radio, Cinema, Online, POS and Bus backs.
Says Lorraine Jokovic, CEO of Loud: “Through research we have identified that the Greater Building Society has a very close, familiar relationship with its customers. A relationship that is as strong, if not stronger, than any other financial services provider in Australia.
“We set out to develop a creative strategy that recognised this tight relationship by demonstrating The Greater’s devotion to its customers.”
The concept highlights those little “moments” that occur in everyone’s lives, from the birth of children, getting your first car, starting a business, taking a holiday, and even retiring. The message is that The Greater is there to help people financially during all of these important moments, “making life greater”.
Every moment starts hopeful and joyous, before it twists comically as reality steps in. It’s saying “that’s life” and it’s all about putting those wonderful real life instances under the spotlight.
Says Joe Van Trump, creative director, Loud: “To accentuate the emotion of each moment, we shot using the slow motion technique filming on a WEISSCAM camera that can shoot to incredibly high frame rates per second, sometimes up to 2000 frames per second.”

This looks familiar. I feel bad for the crap it’s going this will cop
Uh oh
Are you fully illiterate?
This continues a bad week for Aussie advertising.
wow. Bad ideas look worse slowed down.
Better than most.
What’s with the blurred out faces at the auction. Production budget couldn’t cover talent fees aeh?
This would make an awesome Carlton Draught Campaign
Blurred out faces are because of bad youtube compression. Better on vimeo: http://www.jungleboys.com.au/blog/
The original campaigns were so much better.
Obviously a new creative team. Why change something that was working so well for you?
New creative team? – Couldn’t be a client decision could it??
I think it’s good. I enjoyed watching each scene.
Look, if you hold it up to the 10 greatest TVCs of the past 25 years can you criticise as not being particularly great? Sure.
But I’m guessing it’s a real ad for a real brief, from a client who doesn’t churn out a lot of these things, thus they’d watch every frame like a hawk. If you’ve worked on such a brief, you’d know this TVC is a good result.
Oh, and it’s fun.
Soooo not funny
Seindfeld, you sound like you were part of the old creative team.
CAN CAN CAN CAN
Seems Loud is a little slow to catch up on the slow-motion craze circa 2005.
