Campaign Brief 479.pngBMF has appointed Ricci Meldrum as managing partner for its Melbourne office and the newest member of the BMF national leadership team.

Meldrum was previously executive director at Clemenger BBDO Melbourne, where she was also a board director and served on the BBDO Global executive team for Mars and Wrigleys.

During her 14 years at the agency Meldrum contributed to a body of world-class creative work and built enduring client relationships with companies such as Mars and Fonterra.

Meldrum has been recognised for her contribution to great creative work with multiple Cannes Lion awards for campaigns such as Four ‘N Twenty ‘Magic Salad Plate’ and for advertising effectiveness with over 10 Effie Awards on accounts under her leadership. She has also been recognised for her account management skills by MADC and the Won Report, where she was ranked in the top five account management people globally.

Says Meldrum: “BMF is an agency I have admired from afar for some time.  BMF’s passion for ideas, strategic focus and strong track record has been impossible to ignore.  I look forward to being part of BMF’s ambition and helping take the Melbourne agency to a new level.   BMF Melbourne is uniquely positioned as an independent, creatively driven agency. It offers a real point of difference to the international corporates and smaller conservative agencies which are so prevalent in the Melbourne agency landscape.”

BMF chief executive Jeremy Nicholas said: “We searched globally to fill this role and found the best person for the job in our own back yard. Ricci has a great track record in creating long-standing partnerships with clients and leading teams that produce great creative work. Ricci is a great hire for our Melbourne office and for the whole agency. We are all looking forward to working with her.”

Meldrum will be responsible for continuing to develop BMF Melbourne, which has grown steadily since opening its doors three years ago, working with clients such as Schweppes Australia, Lion, Australian Electoral Commission (AEC), AEG and Ryobi.
