Post-merger Foxtel dumps Austar shops The Monkeys, Lavender and Dynamix to consolidate entire business with Clemenger BBDO network
Following its merger with Austa, Foxtel has reviewed the agency rosters of both companies and decided to consolidate its creative agencies into the Clemenger BBDO group.
As a result Foxtel will no longer retain The Monkeys, Dynamix or Lavender as part of the roster.
CHE in Melbourne will do the bulk of the company’s creative work following their successful AFL campaign for Foxtel earlier this year. They will be backed by the strategic and creative resources of Clemenger Sydney and the creative capabilities of the worldwide BBDO network.
Foxtel will retain the media agencies used by both companies in the short term as the business is consolidated and through the transition to a national brand. Those agencies are Publicis Media, Foundation Works and Outrider.
Says Chantal Walker, Director Marketing for Foxtel: “Foxtel believes that the scale and scope of the Clemenger Group will give us the resources we need to build on the strength of the Foxtel brand in our current markets to create a truly national one that all Australia loves.
“We would like to thank Dynamix, Lavender and The Monkeys for the fabulous creative work they have done over the years for both Austar and Foxtel.”
It hasn’t been a good day for The Monkeys, also parting ways with Diageo.

Creative going to CHE melbourne – that’s a win for the creative dept at clems sydney
I’ve got one of those oversized universal remotes like the one Kim Williams is holding in the photo. They work well enough, but finding room for it on the coffee table is a joke.
Is losing Foxtel a bad thing?
