The Circus Festival wraps up keynote day yesterday – AWARD Awards now sold out
Circus, The Festival of Commercial Creativity, started in Sydney yesterday. Here are some shots from day one….
AWARD today reports a sell-out show for the annual AWARD Awards, taking place at CarriageWorks on the evening of March 29. With an audience of over 800, the venue is now at capacity.
2012 has seen an increase in numbers of close to 10% compared to last year.
The AWARD Awards are the culmination of the 2012 Circus Festival of Commercial Creativity. Circus wrapped up its Keynote Day with AWARD Award chairman of Judges Nick Law’s (R/GA) presentation on the future of creative teams.
During the first day of Circus nine speakers took to the stage, including designer Vince Frost, Gatorade’s global chief marketing officer Sarah Robb O’Hagan, Head of Google Creative Labs, Tom Uglow, Jurlique’s chief brand officer Rosanna Iacono and MDC’s chief innovation director, Faris Yakob, former Gap marketer John Aylward, Hollywood Storyboarder Jeff Julian, and Joseph Crump, SVP of strategy & planning Razorfish.


















They covered topics such as ‘the importance of being awesome’, ‘some fuzzy thinking on the future of everything’ and ‘doing good for your brand whilst your brand does good’.
Feedback on Circus has been overwhelmingly positive, with a surge of supportive commentary in the twittersphere (#circus2012).
Circus kicks off day two today with the Battle of Big Thinking, featuring 15 innovators, thinkers and change makers presenting their big idea to an audience of close to 400.
