fairfax1.jpgFairfax Media Metro Division, as a sponsor of this year’s Circus Festival of Commercial Creativity, will provide delegates with sweet entertainment – literally – during today’s opening day.

This is the second year Metro Media has sponsored Circus, and this year is focusing on promoting fx, Metro Media’s creative solutions unit.

A delicious attraction of the fx brand activation at Circus is the “Sweet fx” lolly bar

where delegates can indulge themselves with a complimentary sugar hit to sustain their

energy levels during speaker sessions and panel discussions.

Another drawcard will be a sneak peak at fx’s new Airlink technology which will

debut on March 29 in the(sydney)magazine in a campaign for Peroni. Promotional staff will be on hand at the Sweet fx lolly bar showcasing the campaign.

Airlink is a pioneering innovation in interactive advertising linking print and mobile digital

platforms, and was developed in house by the fx team.

Says fx director, Sev Celik: “We’re really thrilled to be able to offer delegates at this year’s Circus something a little bit different from the conventional. It’s also terrific that we can let delegates have a preview of our new Airlink technology being used for the first time in the Peroni ad campaign.”

Launched in September last year, fx was created to offer integrated, leading-edge strategic and creative services to Fairfax Metro Media agencies and clients.

The fx team combines the company’s print and digital expertise into a single, crossplatform

unit that enables Metro Media to provide clients with more innovative solutions based on a deep understanding of their business.

Successful, first-to-market solutions for clients since the launch of fx have included last

month’s introduction of the ground-breaking video “Hotspot” technology for IKEA.

Earlier this month, fx announced the formation of a team of four in Melbourne to service

its growing client business in Victoria.
