Mother adds ‘Frosty Berry’ to range of drinks in new print campaign via McCann-Erickson Sydney
Coca-Cola South Pacific today introduced a new flavour, Mother Frosty Berry to its energy drink range. Mother Frosty Berry combines bleepin’ deliciousness with berry sweetness for a ‘Mother’ of an energy hit, delivering a refreshing new flavour to the market.
The third flavour addition to the popular range, Mother Frosty Berry, follows in the footsteps of Mother Surge and Mother Lemon Bite, adding a tasty, sweet option for Aussies seeking a berry fix.
Says Steven Ruhl, Mother marketing manager: “In the past year, berry flavoured beverages have experienced double digit growth in the grocery beverage category and we believe Mother Frosty Berry will grow this category even further. Rotational flavours have delivered incremental volume growth for Mother in the past so we are confident the same will happen as a result of introducing Mother Frosty Berry to the range.”
Also hitting the shelves in March is Mother Lemon Bite in a unique engineered industrial Fuel Cap Bottle. Building on the success of Mother Fuel Cap Bottle launched in July 2011, Mother Lemon Bite in our distinctive Fuel Cap Bottle offers an on-the-go option for one of Australia’s top selling flavour SKUs in the Energy Category.
To support the launch of these two new product developments, Mother has planned a number of marketing activities across out-of-home (Ooh – Mother Frosty Berry only), proximity media and point-of-sale (POS).
Both the new Mother Frosty Berry and Mother Lemon Bite in a Fuel Cap Bottle will be available for Australians to try at a number of events as part of an experiential sampling campaign including activity at V8 events as Mother continues to be the Official Energy Drink of the V8 Supercars.

Classic McCann, always pushing the boundaries and delivering innovative solutions. Great way to showcase a new product
I don’t think this is a print idea – more like point of sale. And bad point of sale at that – the berry’s look fake and the bottom left hand corner of the pack shot is layered!
