Triple Cannes Gold Lion-winning tvc director Nicholas Reynolds re-unites with Plaza Films
Cannes Gold Lion winner Nicholas Reynolds has re-signed with Plaza Films for Australian and NZ representation after a three year hiatus elsewhere.
Reynolds, three of whose commercials have won Gold at Cannes (IKEA “Dog”, Lynx “Lynxjet” and Virgin Credit cards “Plastic Surgery”) as well as scoring many other bronzes, silvers and finalists, has a reputation for understated wry comedy and more than a hint of subversion.
Says Peter Masterton, Plaza EP: “Nick is a great talent and we’re really happy that he’s back with us. He’s got a sense of the unexpected and has an originality that really stands out as unique in this part of the world. The fact that he’s won so many international awards speaks for that. Plus he’s one of the funniest people I know.”
Reynolds, asked to comment, texted back: “Don’t know why I ever left. Does anybody really read this stuff anyway?”
