Engine brings Publicis Mojo and McCann Sydney together for ‘Love thy Neighbour’ industry night
Engine today announced their inaugural agency ‘Love Thy Neighbour’ evening with Publicis Mojo and McCann Sydney the first two agencies to break bread together on Thursday 8 March courtesy of Engine’s world-famous hospitality.
Engine EP Adam Wells explained the rationale behind the new industry night saying: “Engine is making ‘Love Thy Neighbour’ a regular industry initiative where two sets of agency creatives and their TV departments can get to know each other better over some good food and drinks. It’s our aim to spread love throughout the industry and if we have to create a few hangovers in the process, that’s the price we are prepared to pay.”
Love Thy Neighbour is an invitation only event held in one of Sydney’s more welcoming saloons and hosted by design, production and post production house Engine every two months.

that’s some amazing retouching
nice marketing idea engine – well done!
Can’t wait to have a bottle of Mojo
better than Publipiss
A can of McCann?
I hope our agency doesn’t get teamed with McCann. Fuck, that would be hell.
Drink Piss. Talk shit.
Call me Boring Old Dude, but work related small talk is dull enough with your own team – who in their right mind would want to extend the dullness with the inclusion of a bunch of folks from another agency?
Sounds like an afternoon at Song Zu.
If McCann’s was a beer it would be both as weak as piss and poison at the same time.
So,
We jump in a car across town to Artarmon, home of the home depot warehouse, for a few free beers and a chance to chat with some people from another agency.
Isn’t that what the cricketers arms is for?
Great idea Sal.
If you think the people you work with are boring Old Dude, then maybe it’s you. I’ve never worked in a boring creative department in my life. Whoever your “own team” is, they must be glad you don’t hang around for Friday night drinks. Sheesh. There’s no pleasing some people.
You really are a boring old dude – I think my point is really that Engine’s promotional “love thy neighbour” event is somewhat lacking in “reason to attend” beyond the free booze that will be served. I think there could be much more compelling possible guises for an event than one that is built simply on the promise of hanging out with a load of people from a rival agency. That said, I’m sure all who attend will enjoy the free beer, served in delightfully retouched bottles. 🙂
