Piers Hogarth-Scott.jpgDigital agency Vivid Group has expanded on the back of strong growth over the past 12 months, opening an office in Sydney and Brisbane in addition to its Perth and Melbourne teams to make it one of the few digital agencies in Australia with a national presence.

Vivid, part of Aegis Media Pacific, has also made several senior appointments.

In Perth, Katrina Youdale has joined as client services director. Youdale was previously with Mindbox, a search and boutique media agency in Sydney, and prior to that was head of digital at Oddfellows.

Mark Suttie has been appointed senior account director in Melbourne, with previous experience including communications director at George Patts, head of marketing at The Merino Company and general manager at global communications business Buchanan Group.

Senior account director Behan Gifford has joined the Brisbane office from digital agency Amnesia Razorfish in Sydney and has also worked with Razorfish in Seattle.

Cecily O’Neill has joined in Perth as national business development manager, having recently worked at leading technology solutions business CSG.

Vivid added more than 20 new clients in 2011, including Echo Entertainment (formerly Tabcorp), Carnival Cruise Lines, HBF, Coates Hire, Woodside Energy, Standards Australia, and St John Ambulance.

The new offices and hires take the total Vivid team to around 50 people.

Says Vivid group managing director Piers Hogarth-Scott (pictured): “2011 was a fantastic year for Vivid, with several significant new client wins allowing us to grow the team by around 20% and extend our presence in the eastern states. There are very few digital agencies that have a truly national presence and by doing so, we open up new opportunities for our clients and our staff. One of our major focuses for 2012 will be to grow our eastern seaboard offering whilst continuing to build on our strong presence in Western Australia.”

Luke Littlefield, CEO of Aegis Media Pacific, added: “By cementing Vivid’s presence in all cities where Aegis Media is based in Australia, we can provide group clients with access to additional interactive services opportunities with our existing client base as well as opening up new opportunities for the group with the Vivid service offering.”
