Plaza Films welcomes director Barney Howells
Plaza Films have announced director Barney Howells has joined them.
Howells began his career in London, assisting renowned directors such as Mehdi Norowzian and Traktor.
He was subsequently signed to Partizan where he directed spots for high profile clients such as Playstation and XBOX.
Since moving to Australia 3 yeas ago, Howells has worked with a number of local agencies including BMF, BWM, DDB & JWT and directed well known campaigns for MLA Beef “Plate Swap” and MLA Lamb “Spring Fashion”.
Executive producer Peter Masterton said: “With his strong performance and visual storytelling work, Barney is a fabulous addition to Plaza. He obviously had his pick of production companies to go to and we are really happy he chose Plaza”.
Howells added: “To join the ranks of the mighty Plaza is a great honour. They have been consistently producing some of the funnest funniest stuff around, and I am ecstatic to be in such esteemed company.”
Howells has teamed up with Edwina Speakman as his producer.
