Aegis Media’s global digital Communications Agency Isobar has joined forces with leading digital creative agency Visual Jazz in Australia.

The Visual Jazz business in Melbourne, Sydney and Canberra will be branded as Visual Jazz Isobar and current staff of Isobar in Sydney will come under the same banner. With a national staff of more than 180 people, Visual Jazz Isobar will be one of the largest digital creative agencies in the country.

Konrad Spilva (above right), one of the original founders and current MD of Visual Jazz, will be MD of Visual Jazz Isobar, reporting to David Stephenson (above left), MD of Aegis Media Pacific’s Digital Creative division. The Sydney office of Visual Jazz Isobar, which now will have a team of over 30 people, will be led by Grant Henderson as General Manager and Verity Tuck as Senior Account Director, overseeing client services.

Stephenson said Visual Jazz Isobar will deliver clients and staff with the benefits of both global and local strength: “Since Visual Jazz was founded more than 10 years ago, it has grown from a start up to one of Australia’s leading digital creative agencies and named B&T’s 2011 Interactive Agency of the Year,” he said.

“Isobar Sydney has a strong creative team plus the backing of one of the world’s biggest and best digital agencies. We have a very powerful offer to our clients and a very positive story to attract the best talent going around.”

“We’re bringing together the very best people on the ground with the ability to further tap into the extensive global resource and knowledge bank of Isobar. Asia is a growth market for many of our clients and Visual Jazz has already worked with Isobar to deliver client work in several Asian markets. This is really great news for our team and our clients.”

Jean Lin, CEO Isobar Asia Pacific, said of Visual Jazz Isobar: “Visual Jazz Isobar will create a very formidable national digital offer for our Australian clients. The Visual Jazz team have worked with Isobar offices around the world since becoming part of Aegis Media last year, and now the clients and staff of the new Visual Jazz Isobar will be able to leverage Isobar’s global innovation and infrastructure to bring people and brands together.”
