Award-winning director Kieran ‘Spud’ Murphy teams up with Ikon execs Simon White and Simon Brock to form content company Red Humpy Films
Ikon Communications founder Simon White and CFO Simon Brock have partnered with award winningdirector Kieran ‘Spud’ Murphy to form Red Humpy Films, a new professional content company which draws on 20 years experience in communication, advertising, media & marketing.
Spud says: “Red Humpy Films is about creating content that engages the public and communicates to them in the most creative and cost effective way possible.”
Spud is one of Australia’s most versatile and awarded directors across all forms of media, having directed hundreds of commercials, TV drama, live multicam and factual and reality tv in Australia.
He has recently completed a Herrons tvc and spots for McCafe (OMD), Digital Broadband Network (BMF) and the new Qantas Inflight Safety Video (direct) involving all the Aussie Olympians going to London.
In TV land he has been filming Home & Away, MasterChef, Australia’s Next Top Model, Farmer Wants a Wife, Camp Orange for Nickelodeon, Dating in the Dark, Conviction Kitchen and Please Marry My Boy to name a few.
Red Humpy Films already has a number of projects on its slate for 2012. A new drama series with Lisa McCune as co producer and a new factual tv series in partnership with the Fresh Food Markets of Australia. Whilst they continue to film content daily for redhumpy.tv, a new comedy website.
