Colenso BBDO, Auckland’s new cinema spot and web film for The New Zealand Book Council promotes books through the power they have to inspire and shape a person.

Saw the spot, checked the credits. So, who made this Ad?
Nice execution, bloody awful subject.
That particular book, whatever it’s merits one way or the other, shaped governments and totalitarian rulers across the world directly responsible for the murder of over 10 million people.
Che, so heroically shown here, only murdered smaller numbers because he never got to apply his mendacity to a large population.

I meant over 100 million people, not ten million.
Just the likes of Mao managed to kill 30+ million with his insane policies – and that’s not counting those directly killed by instruction rather than stupidity and egomania.
