Global media agency Vizeum launches in Sydney
Global media agency Vizeum has entered the Australian market with the launch of Vizeum Sydney.
Nick Behr (pictured), has been appointed GM of Vizeum Sydney, from his previous role as MD of Media
Contacts Sydney.
Says Behr: “We will build and grow a dynamic and premium media agency brand in Australia with Vizeum. The Vizeum way is strategically led, with digital at its core.
Our clients are very excited by this transition, and the opportunity to benefit from the approach and the tools of Vizeum, particularly the digital focus of the agency. The team we have in place has the talent and the knowledge to deliver on this, making Vizeum a significant addition to the Sydney market.
Our people will be able to build the culture and team of Vizeum here. 2012 is going to be a very exciting year for everyone involved in Vizeum Sydney.”
Part of Aegis Media’s global network, Vizeum is already present in 36 countries worldwide with
more than 50 offices.
Aegis Media Pacific CEO Luke Littlefield said: “Vizeum will launch in Sydney initially and expand nationally in future. It’s great to bring this global brand to Australia with the strength of the local Aegis Media group behind it and we’re looking forward to building a very competitive offering.”
On the back of the Vizeum launch, former MPG MD Kristian Barnes will take on a new role with Aegis Media Pacific as chief commercial officer, focusing on the commercial strategy and development of the group across Australia and New Zealand including Vizeum, whilst having an ongoing role in the group’s Optus relationship.

I love the way they say they are ‘digitally focused’. So when they add their good for fuck all 5 cents to the mix, they recommend doing some banners. Media agencies are rather shite, they just make our job harder while trying to look good to the client.
I need to know who painted that piece on the wall behind him.
???
@graff lover looks like sofles to me
@ted dibiase .. Okay so I know that creatives have a long battle/hatred with media agnecies – however you cannot say that banner ads don’t work. Believe it or not, these ads have hard data to back up their validity.
Media agencies have an integral part in any campaign. One department isn’t more important than the other – rather they should work together to create an innovative holistic campaign.
@ted – sitting here in media agency land, where we have to backup and validate every campaign with hard data on reach and cost per xxx, i find your comment even more proof how up its own a**e the creative agencies are. no accountability for results, no validation of impact, just a bunch of tossers giving themselves awards whilst spending other people’s money. and then whingeing about how crap everyone else is. pass the bucket.
Didn’t they launch in Melbourne last year. Then go away again? What’s up with that? The graffiti artist is rocket boy roger?
