After six years Draft FCB New Zealand creative director Matt Simpkins resigns to go freelance
Renowned New Zealand creative Matt Simpkins is set to leave DraftFCB in February after six years running some of its most famous brands.
Says Simpkins: “It’s been a great and successful period, and really pleasing to see DraftFCB grow so much in those years, but as a creative you need to keep challenging yourself and this is what this next step is all about. As a freelancer, I’m looking forward to working with new people and seeing how other agencies do things.”
Says DraftfFCB ECD James Mok: “Matt’s the go-to guy for those difficult, curly briefs and will certainly be missed.”
A co-founder of agency Generator in 1995, Simkins has taken home an Axis Grand Prix and been awarded globally including D&AD, Cannes, The One Show, AWARD and the Caxtons.
He is available for freelance work and may be contacted via email.
