I think these are interesting ads, but I wonder if they’re actually doing much of a job communicating what they’re supposed to be communicating.
The previous ads, with real survivors of Black Saturday talking about their experiences, somehow seemed to connect more. Maybe it’s because I’m in the industry, but when I see these ads I can almost visualise the actors performing in a recording studio. Yet at the same time, they’re kind of TAC off-putting.
Some of the real people were mesmerising – you just knew there was no bullshit involved.
