Ogilvy Group to bring its successful digital model DTDigital to Sydney – set to launch in January
One of Australia’s largest and most successful digital agencies, DTDigital, is to launch in Sydney in January, working in collaboration with Ogilvy & Mather and OgilvyOne.
In Sydney, DTDigital will be seeking to build direct relationships with new clients, while partnering with Ogilvy to offer new and specialised digital services to existing Ogilvy clients.
DTDigital joined the STW Group in 2003 and now has 110 full-time staff. The Ogilvy/DTDigital partnership model is already a proven success in Melbourne. For the past four years, DTDigital has been working closely alongside BADJAR Ogilvy and OgilvyOne.
DTDigital is an award-winning digital marketing design and technology founded by David Trewern, who now serves as STW Group’s chief digital officer as well as chairman of DTDigital. Success has come through a unique, full-service offering, which includes deep specialisation in high growth areas that are not typically part of the offering from ad agencies.
DTDigital has been able to develop capabilities in specialist areas beyond strategy, creative and production such as user experience, design and consulting, advanced web application engineering, eCommerce, email marketing, data and analytics, social media and social business strategy, mobile marketing and application development, and immersive ‘beyond the browser’ digital experiences.
This breadth of specialist capabilities allows DTDigital to focus on innovation, conceptualising, developing and connecting the entire digital ‘ecosystem’ for sophisticated clients that increasingly connect and transact with consumers via digital channels.
Says Andrew Baxter, National CEO of Ogilvy: “There are too many agencies with a handful of digital guys in the corner claiming hard-core expertise. I’ve worked very closely with the DTDigital team for four years in Melbourne and working with them in Sydney will allow us to better anything even the large stand-alone digital agencies can offer.”
Brian Vella, MD of DTDigital said: “After many years building our brand and business in Melbourne, this is a natural step for DTDigital as we move towards a national presence. We’ll hit the ground running with a strong and credible team aligned under one leadership structure, ready to partner with new clients.”

He’d be turning in his grave if he knew how the Sydney office was behaving.
Their website [dtdigital.com.au] looks like it was designed in 2005. Don’t think we’ll all be hitting the panic button.
I don’t think Dave would like that widow.
So in other words, DT Digital will be propping up Ogilvy Sydney too. Timely.
A very handy slogan considering the constantly changing landscape at Ogilvy, O&M, SOM or whatever it’s called this week.
What a fine stable. Plush, I mean Bento, 120, or whatever the print component is called, and now a cutting edge digital offering.
Strange that there’s no mention of the work or the clients..?
Considering DT have done some fairly handy stuff for some big names in Bleak City it’s a fairly underwhelming, jargon-laden and ‘client-less’ bit of PR
There are a group of wannabe ninjas that strat for DT who simply don’t understand the business. Loud gen y boohahah. This is a production resource at best. Along with 120 this is a cash cow that will keep a couple of fat cats fat.
‘We’ll hit the ground running with a strong and credible team.”
Who?
Yeah Yeah Yeah……..
