Clapperton is a New Zealander who went to Elam Art School, has set up his own clothing business, worked at WRC/Mango in New Zealand and – for the last two years – at DraftFCB in Melbourne. He left the agency in June.

Says Andrew Stone, business partner at Droga5 NZ: “I’ve enjoyed the discussions with Jason. I like hisstrategic, analytical business thinking and his passion for the role of creativity in building brands and businesses.

He’s also an entrepreneur at heart, which fits with our culture. I’m sure he will add a lotto our journey of producing radical ideas.”

Sudeep Gohil, Droga5 Australia’s executive planning director/partner said: “Strategic planning has been central to our offering from the very beginning and we are lucky to have some of sharpest strategic minds in the world working with us at Droga5. Jason adds to this awesome talent pool in spades and I am really excited about him joining the fold.”

Clapperton said: “I can’t wait to get stuck in. New Zealand is my home and Droga5 is an exciting new agency to be joining.”
