McCann Sydney wins Suzanne Grae account for Australia and NZ following competitive pitch
Australian womenswear retailer Suzanne Grae has appointed McCann Sydney as its agency of record.
McCann pitched against M&C Saatchi and The Works to win the account, which includes brand development and all creative concepting and direction for all campaigns and activity to run in Suzanne Grae stores throughout Australia and New Zealand.
With over 220 stores throughout Australia and New Zealand, Suzanne Grae is part of the Sussan Corporation which also includes Sussan and Sportsgirl.
Says Ashley Farr, McCann managing director Sydney & national planning director: “We are delighted to bring our extensive retail experience into this partnership with Suzanne Grae.”
Farr continued: “Suzanne Grae is a very passionate and creative organisation, and this is a great opportunity for us to do great work that can really make a difference.
The win is a gratifying endorsement of the reinvention of McCann, which has only just begun, as a non-traditional agency with digital at its core. We can now offer clients a new Australian agency with the DNA of a creative independent, backed by the global resources of the world’s largest agency network.”
The appointment is effective immediately. McCann will be working with a client team including Suzanne Grae brand manager Claire Scapinello and chief executive officer Carol Molyneux.

Suzanne who? Wow. What a great win.
Wow, this reeks of desperation. ‘Susan Grae’?……….’an endorsement of the reinvention of McCann’?
Does this mean you’ll be going for the ‘Best & Less’ business??
A win is a win – well done guys, great to see another brilliant Iconic agency being turned around….. keep it up McCann’s!!
Gee, I remember working on Coke, Levis etc at McCann.
