US Sydney’s SBS ‘Immigration Nation’ campaign scores five gongs at PromaxBDA Awards
SBS’s Immigration Nation continues its awards run for its creative, picking up five awards over the weekend at the PromaxBDA ANZ Awards in Sydney.
The creative for Immigration Nation, developed by US Sydney and produced by Engine, included executions across print, TV, radio and online.
SBS also picked up a Silver Isis award for its oft-awarded film campaign in the category of Best CG animation, which also experienced success at the Promax International Awards earlier in the year.
SBS Director of Marketing Jacquie Riddell said: “We are absolutely thrilled at the success of Immigration Nation at the PromaxBDA ANZ Awards this year. It is the premier Australian/New Zealand Awards for creative excellence in television marketing and promotion, and to take home five awards for this creative is great recognition of both the fantastic, thought-provoking campaign and of the hard work of teams at SBS and US Sydney.”
Engine EP Adam Wells said: “These awards are a great achievement for SBS, US Sydney and of course Engine. To be selected as the production and design studio to work on such great creative is, in itself, gratifying. Immigration Nation was a thoroughly inspiring project to work on, with the agency and Engine teams developing a creative and trusting relationship on the production. We are very proud of the creative and these awards.”
Engine CD Simon Robson added: “We are absolutely thrilled at the success of Immigration Nation at the PromaxBDA ANZ Awards this year. It is the premier Australian/New Zealand Awards for creative excellence in television marketing and promotion, and to take home five awards for this creative is great recognition of both the fantastic, thought-provoking campaign and of the hard work of teams at SBS and US Sydney.”
The PromaxBDA ANZ Awards recognise excellence in on-air promotion, branding and advertising. The awards are open to Satellite, Cable, Broadcast Television, Radio Station and associated new media, their agencies and production houses.

Jacqui…. hello?
Well done SBS, well done US Razor and well done Engine. Here at Engine we produced, designed (Along with Luca from Likeminded who created typography) and directed the Coming Soon promo as well as the 3 episode promos. I am really proud of this campaign.
