Kelsey Grammer to be special guest at Australian Radio Conference and Awards this Friday 14th October at Jupiters Casino on the Gold Coast

KG.jpgRenowned US Emmy Award winning actor, Kelsey Grammer will be the special guest at this year’s Australian Radio Conference and Awards, to be held on the Gold Coast this Friday, 14 October.

 

Best-known for his two-decade portrayal of psychiatrist, Dr Frasier Crane in the sitcoms, Cheers and Frasier, Grammer will speak at the Radio Conference about the power of speech and what makes  a good TV and radio program.

 

Senator The Hon. Stephen Conroy, Minister for Broadband, Communications and the Digital Economy will also speak at the conference about future directions for the radio industry.

Social commentator and international futurist, Richard Neville who came to international prominence in the 60’s and 70’s with the creation of the notorious international magazine Oz will predict where Australian society is headed and how the media will fit it.

 

The Great Debate AM vs FM will see 2UE presenter Paul Murray moderate between the AM Team –  Jason Morrison (2UE), Gary Hardgrave (4BC) and Steve Price (MTR) and the FM Team – Claire Hooper (Mix 106.5), Spoonman (Triple M) and Bianca Dye (i98FM).

 

This year’s Australian Radio Conference will be held at Southport Pavilion, Jupiters with events as follows:

9.30am: Federal Minister for Communications, Senator Conroy

10.00am:  A conversation with US Emmy Award winning actor, Kelsey Grammer

11.15am:  International futurist, Richard Neville on where Australia media is headed

12.00am: The Great Debate AM vs FM: 2UE presenter Paul Murray moderate between the AM Team –  Jason Morrison (2UE), Gary Hardgrave (4BC) and Steve Price (MTR) and the FM Team – Claire Hooper (Mix 106.5), Spoonman (Triple M) and Bianca Dye (i98FM).
