Editors Scott Gray and Mat Evans + managers Melanie Ritchie and Jo Jordan join Guillotine
Sydney-based editing company Guillotine, having been through a period of change, continues its tradition of excellence in editing. As a favourite boutique editing house with the top directors in town, they have continued to not only be busy but also to attract a talented and passionate team.
New editors Scott Gray and Mat Evans (left) are both returning to Guillotine after a time away.
Gray is one of the top commercial and film editors in the country with 20 years of experience and countless awards. He has cut commercials here and in the US and is the only Australian editor to have won an MTV award for editing. Having just completed his second film with Scott Hicks “The Lucky One” he is now available for commercials.
Evans was Guillotine founder Alexandre de Franceschi’s protégée for two years both as an assistant and editor of his own short films and commercials before he left to work in London. Two years later, he has returned, and in his first month has done jobs with both Revolver and Flying Fish. He is a very talented young editor with a passion for his work.
Finally, Melanie Ritchie (ex Animal Logic) and Jo Jordan (ex Film Graphics) have joined the company to manage the editors and ensure the efficient running of each job.
Alexandre de Franceschi, as usual, has been busy with commercials for Finch, Revolver and Prodigy and is about to embark on a feature “Dead Europe” with director Tony Krawitz (Jew Boy) and producers Liz Watts (Animal Kingdom) and Emile Sherman (Kings Speech). He will be back for more commercials in February.
Sue Schweikert, another busy and gifted editor, has been cutting for @Radical Media, Flying Fish, Revolver and The Feds with local and overseas directors.
