Enigma and Peach join forces in Newcastle

Newcastle advertising and communication company, Enigma, is to join forces with rival Peach Advertising, part of the STW Group, as Enigma strengthens its integrated marketing focus.

According to Enigma managing director Lisa Sutton Gardner (left), the move will create the strongest agency in the region, and allow Enigma to expand its capabilities in digital media and government social marketing: “As a regionally owned company, Enigma is unique in the range of marketing services it offers local and national clients. Joining with Peach, under the Enigma entity, makes sense if we are to continue to be innovative and a leader in what we do,” Ms Sutton Gardner said.

“For the last two decades Enigma and Peach have spearheaded Newcastle’s ability to compete with Sydney and Melbourne in the advertising, marketing and communication sectors. We’re now harnessing that energy in a combined entity that will enhance our ability to compete with multinational companies around Australia.

“We are an employer of choice with a reputation for quality, dynamic campaigns that get results and we are now pleased to welcome the talented staff of Peach to work side by side with Enigma’s people.

“Our staff numbers will grow to 60 after the additional 10 Peach staff join our ranks, making for a fantastic mix of talent from both the Hunter and Sydney markets,” Ms Sutton Gardner said.

The new look entity also gains access to the expertise of the STW Group. STW CEO Michael Connaghan said the combined forces of Enigma and Peach would create one of the strongest agency offerings in the region: “STW believes the joined forces of the two teams will provide a stronger, more focussed agency with a depth and breadth of skills provided by the region’s best and brightest talent,” says Connaghan.
