French born commercials director David Colin joins Film Construction’s trans-Tasman roster

Trans-Tasman production company Film Construction has added French born commercials director David Colin to its current list of talents.

Arriving in Australia in 2007, Colin has already been nominated for a Cannes Young Director Award in 2011, and was the winner of the Hotshop 2008 award, young achievers of the year.

“We are thrilled to have David join the team. As a new school director, he’s not scared of getting his hands dirty in all facets, and keeps his edgy executions cost effective,” says Film Construction’s Tom Gibson.

Educated in Paris, Colin has a degree in cinema, copywriting and advertising, which he most often integrates into his visual style.

Colin’s unique and fresh perspective in film direction has come from his previous work in post production. His ability to understand the project from start to finish greatly influences his creative problem solving techniques.

“I am thrilled to begin a relationship with Film Construction. I have always admired and respected the quality of work the Film Construction produces. I look forward to bringing my own style to help craft something special with Tom and the team” says Colin.

David Colin is certainly not one to follow the grain, he is one to watch for the future.
