Renault Latitude extends the ‘Stress Test Drive’ into Cinema via Naked Communications
Renault Australia’s ‘Stress Test Drive’ campaign, developed by Naked Communications, for the launch of the Renault Latitude will extend into cinema this week, using long form content developed to demonstrate the effects of the Stress Test Drive experiment.
Says Sesh Moodley, Creative Director of Naked Communications: “Showing the results of the film in cinema is the next stage of the campaign as it continues to unfold. We created wonderfully intriguing content as a result of the Stress Test Experiment and look forwards to sharing it with the cinema going public.”
The short film running at 3.38 in length will be shown in full before the features in cinemas across Australia for the next month.
Says Cathy Rhodes, Val Morgan’s Melbourne sales director: “This campaign for the Renault Latitude is a really exciting and innovative use of the cinema medium. Running at over 3 and half minutes, it’s the longest automotive ad we’ve screened and it’s a great environment to engage audiences.”
The Stress Test Drive campaign, brings to life the Renault Latitude’s brand proposition of ‘Feel good driving’, by highlighting (and letting people experience) many stress relieving features not normally seen at a car at this price point.

I thought droga was doing Renault’s advertising?
A nice way into a tough market, it’s not selling but educational. Even if a bit trivial I really like it. I’d like to see how they do the 30 sec TVC
I like it. Interesting and fresh. Makes me want to try it.
Isn’t this just the same as the UK Renault Happiness experiment?
I like the Northerner accent. Nice touch. Feels Top gearish.
Fresh and innovative. Did they get to keep the car?
This very effectively makes the case for not having children.
So they send this bit of insight to Droga and they do the real ads?
Hi ‘is this the brief’ how old school are you? Not everything has to be a ‘real ad’ the world had moved on
Oh dear, 1:25. Still in short pants, are we?
Nice ‘real life’ observations. reminded me of once dropping my little girl off to school only to realise she wasn;t wearing any shoes. You can’t script that so good work getting it.
Too funny…
Hey Dope. Maybe you should read Maurice Saatchi’s tome. It’s called ,”Brutal simplicity of thought”. You might learn something. Work like the above should only be prescribed to insomniacs.
Saw the ad last night in a real cinema with real people who’d paid real money to be there. Poorly received. Just tedious. End of story. Hate to think I’d have to sit through it again.
