Described as a ‘political satire / love story / Federal Police surveillance target’, the 4 x 30 minute narrative comedy takes viewers into the life of PM Julia Gillard and boyfriend Tim Mathieson behind the closed doors of The Lodge. Erin White directed all four episodes.

Says the show’s executive producer/co-writer Rick Kalowski: “Based on her outstanding work on the At Home With Julia series, I cannot recommend Erin highly enough as a director, not only for comedy but for drama as well. Erin’s highly skilled technically, story-focussed, extremely sensitive to bringing out her fellow creatives’ vision, and has the ideal director’s temperament – calm and unruffled but focussed and very clear about what she wants. Just don’t book her up so totally I can’t work with her again as soon as possible.”

Starring  Amanda Bishop (STC Wharf Revue, Double Take, Penelope K by the way) as Julia and AFI Award winner Phil Lloyd as Tim (Review with Myles Barlow), At Home With Julia is a Quail Television production for ABC1. ABC Executive Producer is Debbie Lee. Quail TV Executive Producers are Rick Kalowski and Greg Quail. The series is written by Amanda Bishop, Rick Kalowski and Phil Lloyd. Director is Erin White. Series Producer is Carol Hughes.

Other ‘characters’ to appear in the show include Kevin Rudd, Paul Keating, Tony Jones, Wayne Swan, Bob Katter, Rob Oakeshott, Tony Abbott and Alan Jones.

Says Verve partner Carolyn Starkey: “I can’t wait to see the show in its entirety, and I’m looking forward to doing some more comedy TVCs with Erin.”
