Inaugural Tasmania Advertising & Design Awards set for Feb 2011 – Hobart launch event August 16
CB Exclusive – Today marks the announcement of the launch of the inaugural Tasmania Advertising & Design Awards (TADA).
The TADAs have been created with three goals in mind; to nurture and develop a uniquely Tasmanian creative vernacular, to raise standards in commercial creativity and to celebrate the very best of what we do.
The TADA’s official launch event will be held in Hobart on Tuesday August 16th. Guest speaker is Aussie expat Mark Ringer (right), executive creative director of TBWA Hong Kong and 2011 Cannes Lions Juror, who will open with his talk, “Inside the Jury Room in Cannes”. That will be followed by an overview of the TADA’s, including a question-and-answer session and the announcement of the inaugural TADA jury chairman.
Launch event: 6pm, Tuesday August 16th in the Theatrette at The Old Woolstore, Macquarie Street, Hobart.

Unwilling or unable to produce work competitive at a national level, Tasmania’s three agencies got together and agreed to set the bar nice and low.
Watch out for a series of scam ads appear in the local papers just before entry as mainland agency try to muscle in on this prestigious event.
Awesome idea 1.40. Double page spread for the cafe downstairs could be a goer.
Just have an arm wrestle between Marcus and Peter and be done with it. Much less hassle. Rowan can umpire.
Finally – an award show with it’s own sonic logo.
”Ladies and Gentlemen, I give you…TADA!!!!”
Do-me-a-f@cking-favour.
I think the Coles campaign can already claim that, 4:30.
why not wait and see the quality of work before you comment/snigger into your paper cup at the Ivy Bar. There’s quite a few people in Australia who have no idea who you are…
Is the prize a coloring in book….If the websites any insight it should be TATA pretty soon.
It’s our duty as CB soldiers to knock anything new and different. Nothing personal, 7.36. We’re just maintaining a standard.
I’m actually genuinely intrigued to see what wins
