Jeremy Nicholas, former Vice Chairman of the Communications Council and Chairman of the APG has rotated off the board. Darryn Devlin, a founding director of the Communications Council and former AWARD Chairman has also stepped down, replaced by Mark Harricks (pictured), ECD at JWT Sydney.

Speaking after the AGM, chairman Anthony Freedman said: “This has been a significant year in shaping the new body and its activities and today we celebrate some of our successes.

“We’ve seen some great achievements such as the increase of our corporate membership, the birth of the hugely successful Circus festival, the growth of all our award shows and the consolidation of our education training programs.

“We’re also looking forward to continuing to grow our recently launched individual membership and expanding our services and programs, such as the annual Graduate Trainee Program.”

Last night’s AGM formally ratified the board members and completed the final administrative stage to fully incorporate the Australasian Promotional Marketers Association into the Communications Council.

It was also an opportunity to formally thank outgoing board members for their outstanding contribution to the industry.

Freedman praised Nicholas’ achievements in leading the APG through a period of exceptional growth. He also thanked Darryn Devlin for his involvement in the AWARD merger and his tireless commitment to ensure creativity is at the forefront of all activities.

Daniel Leesong expressed his thanks to outgoing members and said: “I have thoroughly enjoyed working with Jeremy and Darryn and appreciate the time that they have devoted to furthering the industry cause. It is through the commitment of people like Jeremy and Darryn that our industry develops and becomes a better place to work in.”
