Ogilvy Sydney breaks with tradition in new spot launching the new Deli range from Le Snak
In this television campaign via Ogilvy Sydney, launching the new Deli range from Le Snak, Prodigy director Tim Bullock takes a humorous look at “breaking tradition” featuring two lederhosen clad German dancers who, after tasting the new Le Snak Deli range on their break, realise they’ve been living in the past.
With this new found realisation they decide to modernise their traditional Bavarian dance routine by incorporating Run D.M.C’s “It’s Tricky”….. with rather amusing results.

That is actually really funny.
awesome! I really like it.
I am glad I got this warning… keep the tv off so i don’t have to watch this again.
That’s funny. What’s even funnier is Tim Bullock being credited with the thing solely. It’s the creative team that’s the genius behind this. Henri Azzi and Jono Paul. Stand up and take a bow gentlemen.
Maybe they haven’t got a credit cos they don’t work at ogilvy any more. Now that’s really breaking with tradition.
wow – unusually bad from Mr Bullock
That does remind me of a deli – Ham and Cheese.
horrriblleeeeeeee, broad, bullshit rubbish
It’s so bad I want to slap somebody.
Love it. Really sweet. Didn’t need that cutaway to the two background guys “picking up on the new thing” though.
Speaking of which: pity it’s just a short piece of film shot for that ephemeral walled garden we call TV. This one’s a sitter for bringing to life in the real world (you know, on that interweb thing where everyone is these days).
Awesome job Henri and Jono.
Great work as always Run DMC.
Onya Nestle for doing something a little different!
/C
So bad, I want to slap someone.
Ignore the haters, this is a nice spot that’ll work its arse off. Well done Ogilvy.
SLAPSTICK COMEDY.
ME LIKEY.
ME LIKEY A LOT.
Anyone who says this isn’t tighter than your German cousin’s popo is wrong.
No credit for the creative team, just because they left? Gee I can’t understand why everyone hates Ogilvy so much…
I was truly depressed by the standard of ads during 60 Mins last night – peak day, peak time!
This was better than anything I saw.
I also can’t recall an Ogilvy ad this good since well…forever.
5.05 I think you’ll find that this PR release was from prodigy and not ogilvy. So malign the production co. for not crediting the creatives that conceived the idea.
Back to the work. It’s a cracker. Well done all involved
Lazy and predictable.
ummm…it’s LE snak, right? as in purporting to be french? so why would you use germans? if you’re going to give a product a brand name that’s french inspired, then wouldn’t you try and do work that actually seems ownable to that brand?
oh – and it’s not funny.
nice work boys
self-congratulatory
Everyone involved should (and have) been given the credit for this ad.
Nice work!
Doubting Thomas – you are lazy and predictable. Going down the french route is the creative strategy of a bad junior.
