YOUNGBLOODS-logo.JPGBrisbane’s brightest advertising, creative and communications professionals that form Youngbloods Queensland will be hosting a networking event this Thursday (April 21) which is aimed at giving up-and-coming professionals the opportunity to engage with industry heavy weights on a one-on-one basis.

The 2011 Youngbloods Bloody Bingo will be held at Zuri bar on Thursday (21 April) from 6:00pm. Limited tickets are available for $15 and can be PURCHASED HERE.

The event aims to provide a platform for young people within the industry to challenge themselves alongside industry professionals in a social environment.

The concept of Bloody Bingo came from a demand for Youngbloods to be given the opportunity to speak openly to otherwise inaccessible industry professionals on a one to one basis.

Head of AdSchool Australia Hanns Bergs, has been invited as guest speaker for the event and said that the sharing of knowledge through informal events like Bloody Bingo is absolutely invaluable: “The opportunities to speak free and openly with industry professionals in a social environment conductive to informal chat are few and far between. Leverage these social occasions to your advantage, you may never get the opportunity to access them again.”

The event is based on a premise similar to that of traditional bingo however instead of matching up cliché numerical calls, attendees must go around the room and introduce themselves to the people marked on their bingo card.

There is expected to be representation from some of Brisbane’s leading agencies including AdCorp, Banjo, Clemenger BBDO Enso, George Patterson Y&R, Mint, Publicis Mojo, SapientNitro and Junior.

In its first year of Bloody Bingo, Queensland Youngbloods have brought some impressive prizes to the table including an AdSchool course worth over $1,000, and AdSchool workshop worth over $600 and an all expenses paid lunch with a notable professional of your chosen field.
