Leo Burnett Sydney, GPY&R Brisbane score Gold at ANDY Awards in New York – W+K Portland’s Old Spice ‘Response’ takes out The GRANDY
The 2011 International ANDY Awards, the advertising award show that tends to set the precedent for subsequent creative winners during the creative awards season, tonight announces this year’s recipients at the Show & Party at The Times Center in New York City.
The GRANDY, the ANDY’s top honor as Best in Show, went to Wieden + Kennedy Portland for its popular social media campaign “Response” for Old Spice Premium Body Wash in the RESET category (which reflects unique, innovative work that redefines categorical description).
Leo Burnett, Sydney took home one Gold and one Bronze for WWF ‘Space Monkey’ and one Silver for Bundaberg Rum ‘Favourable Lie’; George Patterson Y&R, Brisbane won Gold for Asia Pacific Breweries; Draft FCB in Auckland was awarded a Bronze for Bond Bond; and Publicis Mojo, Sydney won one Bronze for Coca Cola ‘Burn’.
“I think I can speak for my fellow co-chair Michael Lebowitz when I say that the superb level of work produced by our industry continues to inspire,” says Ty Montague, co-chairman of the ANDYs, and co-founder, Co:Collective. “The jury was a stellar group and it was an honor to work with them. I couldn’t be prouder of the work they have selected to honor. It’s going to be a great show.”
