Euro lures interactive strategist Anthony Dever from BCM Brisbane for senior digital planner role
Euro RSCG Australia has lured interactive stategist Anthony Dever (near left) from BCM Brisbane as the agency’s new senior digital planner.
Says Phil Johnston (far left), head of planning Euro RSCG Australia: “Anthony is a great hire for the agency and I am so pleased he chose to join Euro. He has passion and enthusiasm for all things digital and to top it all he’s an all-round good bloke. We’re going to really enjoy having him here and I know our clients will benefit from his expertise.
“To begin with, Anthony will be playing a key role across Sony, Australian Wool Innovation and the Pernod Ricard business. He will bring his digital thinking to opportunities across all of our clients, working closely with creative to develop work that is effective and stands out for all the right reasons,” says Johnston.
Dever has been involved with all things digital for the past nine years. He began in January 2002 where he founded and managed a business, providing web hosting services and technical support to 500 SME clients.
He sold the business in 2007 and founded The Blog Project in Brisbane where he developed a blog search engine, RSS update tracker and directory, sourcing and maintaining a list of over 6000 active Australian blogs. He also set up and managed over 200 blogs for individuals and businesses.
Following the sale of the search engine to Australia’s largest blog community in 2008, Dever joined BCM Partnership in Brisbane as Social Media Manager, where he set up the agency’s process for marketing, planning and delivery of social media services. After 3 months he was made Interactive Strategist and was tasked with overseeing the in-house team of social media, search marketing, email marketing and web analytics professionals to implement and analyse campaigns.
During the past couple of years Dever has been chosen to speak at various industry conferences including ABC Youth Media Forum, Evolve 08, AIMIA National Summit, AMI Queensland Marketing Summit, Interactive Minds, and National Road Safety Marketers Conference, Interactive Minds and QLD Youngbloods.
“I’m excited to join the Euro planning team and am looking forward to getting my teeth into the job. My mission is single-minded in helping create some amazing digital campaigns for Euro clients,” says Dever.

Another good team member this company looks like its going to rock, good luck to everyone .Andrew.
For the record Anthony wasn’t lured from BCM as this article suggests . He handed in his resignation back in November last year to relocate to Sydney. We loved having Anthony at BCM, he was a great bloke to have around.
So it looks better for you that he left without a job to go to?
Hello anonymous. For the record I decided to leave BCM because my dad needs to relocate to Sydney for health reasons and I wanted to be close to him. I loved my time at the agency, the work I got to do, have life long friends there and will always thank the partners Kev and Paul for letting me join agencyland with BCM and for their help in making me better at thinking strategically.
got to love anon trying to start something and being shut down, thanks for clarifying Anthony and good luck at work and wth your dad
Congrats mate!! Looking forward to coming down and checking out your new digs soon!
Just to reinforce what Anthony and Kev said. We’d didn’t lure Anthony from BCM. He’d already made the decision to move to Sydney. He talks highly of his days at BCM and the guys there who mentored him. We’re now the lucky ones that benefit from fate bringing him to Sydney.
that’s good you’ve clarified that – because I was really worried that someone had been lured from BCM….
…potentially shocking stuff
thank god that didn’t happen…..god forbid that anyone would leave an agency as amazing as BCF

You really need to let it go. Just… get on with your life.
