After a year heading CUB business at Droga5 Jamie Clift promoted to head of client business
Jamie Clift, who joined Droga5 just over a year ago as group account director for the combined CUB business, has been promoted to the newly created role of head of client business.
Clift has a long association with the agency partners, having worked alongside David Droga at Saatchi’s in London in the late 90s, and then with David Nobay at Saatchi & Saatchi Sydney.
Before joining Droga5, Clift was managing director at Smart in Sydney, as well as working client-side at Foxtel.
Says David Nobay, Droga5 Australia creative chairman: “Our business has always been about collaborating with senior clients and management, so this role is a pivotal one for us. Jamie was always the natural choice – he’s always put ideas at the front of the conversation, but equally understands the business imperative and has the understated charm and good sense to do justice to both”.
Clift takes on the role with immediate effect. He continues to oversee the CUB business, which includes VB, Cascade and Crown, but will also manage the senior business directors across the agency’s other key clients: News Ltd, Telstra and Renault.

Nice one Jamie. Just need to fix up that boy band haircut
No, he looks good with that long-haired lightly-bearded casual look. A far cry from the clean-cut earnest-looking beanpole I worked with.
Jamie’s a good man. Well done.
Well done mate. Wouldn’t describe you as earnest but certainly a first clAss operator God bless you
