Slurpees are colder than an Eskimo’s deodorant in new TV campaign via Leo Burnett, Melbourne
It’s colder than a penguin’s undercarriage, an Alaskan barbeque and an Eskimo’s deodorant stick.
Yep,there’s only one beverage that’s chilled to -3C and that’s Slurpee. Andthen there’s its most iconic feature that distinguishes it from allother drinks – it was the first frozen beverage to be served in a cup.
7-Elevenagency Leo Burnett, Melbourne capitalised on these two unique propertiesby creating a television campaign based on the Slurpee cup itself andits below zero interior.
Each spot poses a different world thatmight exist inside the Slurpee cup. These worlds are cold for tworeasons, the freezing temperature and the unfortunate situations thatbefall its inhabitants.

Seen these on Tv. Make me chuckle every time. Nice stuff.
Funny shit… i especially liked the office one – reminds me of my CD!
It’s pretty damn funny in the cup too.
Funny and well produced. Leos are the kings of quirk it seems.
HIlarious. not.
the recent slurpee stuff (tv and radio) has all been damn funny. top work.
That snowman looks suspiciously like Tom.
These are really well shot. More crafted comedy from Kiwi-land. Nice one Adam and Frostie.
Hey! These are funny! And I don’t even work at the agency who produced them! (Clearly!) Honest! YEAH! No really! Guys?….in the cup….too….
Good to see the Leo’s staffers write some positive comments. It’s important to praise your own work.
Great casting. Especially the snowman one. That guy’s gold.
Can we stop with the agency self-commenting crap. I work here (at Leos Melbourne) and I can tell that there’s been no one in the f-ing building for about 2 hours except for me and a junior suit. And before you start making comments – no we’re not getting it on.
i like these. stupid in a good way. i look forward to them when they come on the tv. which is more than I can say for coke ads.
All three are good. And will stand out in the Aussie commercial world. Well done.
Ha this can only be self praise.
Third script is brilliant. Well done.
The Toole is at Leo’s???!!
Nice job. Well done guys.
All nicely shot though…
Call me old fashioned, but I would prefer something uplifting to sell this product.
Doesn’t make me feel like rushing out to get one.
I already knew that they were cold
Good spots. Does anyone know who did the sound?
I really like the first two. Funny. I find the third one – the different take on cold – falls flat, because it’s trying to be too cold. Sticking to temperature gags would have been fine.
I really like these. Good campaign. Some are stronger. But all good.
these ads came in very useful last night in that dreaded terrible heat.
nice spots GT
