BD Network wins Bronze for Australia at the 2011 AME Awards with Whiskas Pledge

BD Network, a UK agency, which opened a Melbourne office in April last year, picked up Australia’s only metal at the 2011 International AME Awards for Advertising & Marketing Effectiveness. 

The agency won a Bronze award for Whiskas Pledge, a competition giving cat owners the chance to win $10K by announcing their cats love of Whiskas. 

The competition attracted over 330,000 entries.

In total, four AME International Regional Platinum Trophies were awarded along with 14 Gold International AME Awards, 11 Silver, and 20 Bronze Awards. Twenty-five entries also received AME Finalist Certificates including Ogilvy Sydney for its American Express ‘Realise the Potential’ campaign.  

DDB Stockholm AB was awarded the AME Grand Trophy and The Green Award for “The Fun Theory” for Volkswagen BlueMotion Technologies. The winning campaign introduced Volkswagen’s BlueMotion Technologies, a line of cars and products that help reduce environmental impact without compromising the joy of driving. It became a global topic, with articles appearing in all the major Swedish newspapers and other major media outlets throughout the world attracting over 18 million views on YouTube, 115,000 sharings on Facebook, over 20,000 Tweets, and 33,000 blogs have written about it worldwide.
