Meat buyers go ga ga over new book

To launch Lady Gaga’s biography ‘Just Dance’ on behalf of Hachette book publishers, US Sydney played off the notorious meat dress she wore to the 2010 MTV Video Music Awards.
Plastic tags with advertising for the book were placed into the meat in display windows of butchers as ambient pieces. Photographs of these were then seeded through Lady Gaga fan sites, Facebook, Twitter and blogs. ‘Lady Gaga. Just Dance. $22.99. In bookstores now.’

Fresh meat.
Fresh.
Wow. Can’t wait to see the integrated award entry video for that one.
seems legit.
Thats fantasic. Beef ribs for only 9.99 a kilo.
Lambient.
Bloody funny. These guys have been quietly kicking it for a while now, good to see an agency with a sense of humour in Sydney.
Gaga would go gaga over this idea. Funny.
Well, apart from the obvious self promotion posts, nobody seems to have picked up that 77% of Lady Gaga fans are girls aged 12-17 (it’s on her website.)
These girls just fucking LOVE to hang out at the butchers.
It’s like doing an ambient piece for the elderly and running it in a nightclub.
Bollocks.
Um, who on earth would remember the meat dress a year later?
Very well said 10:55!
Agree with the last two comments.
Purely done for sites like this. No impact with the consumer.
That’s a nice long bow
Everyone’s got a beef with someone on this site.
But if it gets news and is spread socially, you just might hit your 12-17 year old target market?
It’s like selling disco biscuits to the elderly under the guise of ‘medication’ 😉
