303 Sydney hires Darren Borrino and Stu Turner from DDB South Africa as senior creative team
Darren Borrino and Stu Turner have joined 303 Sydney as a senior creative team.
The pair mostrecently worked together at DDB South Africa, having also worked at hot shopTBWA Hunt Lascaris on a range of blue chip accounts such as McDonald’s, Honda,Independent Electoral Commission South Africa, Energizer, Standard Bank and MTN- South Africa’s largest Cellular network.
They’ve won awards at all the major shows including a yellow pencil at D&AD, gold and multiple bronze at Cannes, Clio’s, One Show, Young Guns and many local South African awards.
“This is a very important hire for 303 as I continue to build a creative department totake the agency to the next level,” said Simon Langley, Executive CreativeDirector. “Their interactive approach to ideas fits in well with the way wework at 303.”
Turner says they’ve admired the work coming out of Australia for some time now. “And to be honest, Sydney’s not a bad place to live either.”
What impressed us also, adds Borrino, was the work Langley has done over the years and the vision he has for the agency.
“We’re excited to be part of the growing team at 303 and we look forward to doing some great work for their clients.”

I know these guys, they’re top blokes and talented out the yinyang.
Good luck dudes, and great hire Julian.
They sound good, so why go there…..South Africans haven’t lasted long here, especially at 303.
Don’t know you guys, but I know Langers…great guy, great CD. You should do well.
what’s their country of origin got to do with the price of bread? Such racist generalisations: “South Africans haven’t lasted long here” “Haven’t South African imports had a bit of a bad run recently”. Get over yourselves. They are top creatives. Period.
Is it really only a year ago?

Just wondering, but when you write “Period”, is it really necessary to use terminal punctuation beforehand? Aren’t you saying the same thing twice? “They are top creatives, period.” would surely have been have been better?
Harry’s a pompous git, 1:47. That imports from South Africa haven’t lasted long here is simply an inescapable, unarguable fact that has nothing to do with racism. Especially since they, like us are whities.
