It takes Brain Surgery to re-launch Sydney Cider

In an extension of the previous ‘My Dad Owns a Brewery’ Tropfest 2010 3rd place and viral video, Mick Hunter and Ian Morton from Sydney-based Brain Surgery has capitalised on the birth of Schwartz Brewery owner Dr Jerry Schwartz’ son Dane, in a series of tongue in cheek coasters.
Ironically, Dane is the nephew of Richard Feyn (Uncle Dick) and the coasters cleverly promote the re-launch of his once widely distributed ‘Sydney Cider’ brand.

I’d prefer to have a Dickens Cider.
I guess you had to be there……………………
Love it. A lot of fun
I love these, so funny. I’ll bet there were heaps of lines they came up with and could only choose a few.
Did Uncle Richard ever pay The Campaign Palace for that Sydney Cider work?
8.50 AM Yes, sort of.
Gave me a quiet chuckle. Nuff said really.
The Palace never got entirely paid and neither did I!
That was back in 1989 and the product was being funded (supposedly) by Peter Wilton, who disappeared leaving unpaid bills, never to be seen again! (if you look in the 1990 Award book, you will see it was up for small space campaign of the year and client is listed as Peter Wilton).
This is my 3rd attempt at getting the brand going, after being shafted by backers again in 2005, so hope it’s 3rd time lucky!
Thanks for the great current work Mick and Ian, which is more for Schwartz Brewery and hope this clears things up re the Campaign Palace.
Umm… is it not against the law to show people under the age of 24 in alcohol promotions / communications?
The law applies to ads portraying under age drinkers i.e.Teenagers glorifying alcohol. I think you will find that the law now even pohibits ads showing adults enjoying alcohol!
You can’t suggest that people actually have a good time when they drink!
I don’t believe anyone here, is really suggesting that a ‘3 week old baby’ would or could consume alcohol.
It’s just a joke and a funny one at that!
