Whybin\TBWA\Tequila Melbourne wins Stihl account in four-way competitive pitch

stihl.pngWhybin\TBWA\Tequila Melbourne has won the advertising account for STIHL, following a four way competitive pitch involving the incumbent Smart, Leo Burnett and IdeaWorks.  Billings are estimated at $6m.

Targeting prospective power tool purchasers across commercial, industrial and agricultural sectors, as well as the DIY market, Whybins will deliver an integrated through-the-line campaign to drive awareness for the global brand in Australia.

STIHL will work with their Specialist Dealer Network (SDN) – introducedin 2005 – to unite 300 independent retailers and provide a visibledistribution channel for STIHL tools. The campaign is scheduled forroll-out in mid-2011.
