i’m on a junket.
Garbage. Way to piggyback off another idea.
i hope crispin have paid wieden.
I’m on a roo!
This is so Microsoft. Jumping on the back of other things that have become cool rather than to create something unique themselves. It’s desperate; like you dad on Facebook… just wrong.
Death of a legend.
Feel for Old spice and agency, he had legs, now decapitated
The same actor – ok, pretty strange. But the same character too??
Bogusky would never have let that such blatant appropriation fly.
Shite.
Flogging the horse on the previous post
Interesting this: a character from an ad campaign that most Australians would have never seen. Had the dude been overexposed on TV in Oz I’d understand paying the bucks to bring him out. However, this is the marketing industry so dazzled by its own hype that it’s happy to only talk to itself. Post postmodern days indeed.
I’m on a train to typecast town….
Why would you do that? The creatives should hang their heads in shame.
11.28.
It deserves a good flogging. Even self-flagellation might not be a bad idea for those involved.
That’s gay: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qLcvYPzXW3U&p=C537D019D99850F7&playnext=1&index=1
“Helloooo Osstralia, I’m some guy most of you have never heard of. Except for the 1%
of the population who work in advertising.
Get over it ad people. He’s hot and any hot blooded gal wants a piece of him. Forget about who has copied what and think about the punters.
CTRL+C, CTRL+V?
CTRL+ALT+DELETE?
7.41 – bang on.
I’m in the ad your ad could look like if you pay me enough. The smell of money is obviously stronger than Old Spice.
If I was Wieden or Kennedy, I’d be fricking pissed off. Isiah isn’t the character they created for Old Spice, he’s verrrrry different. And Microshaft have just lifted him.
No more Old Spice guy in Old Spice ads?
Can’t think what his contract would stipulate, but if I was the agency, Old Spice guy speaks for Old Spice only.
Isiah can speak for whoever he wants, but don’t use the lines / accents / personality they created.
