The Works Sydney’s euthanasia commercial ‘making of’ to air tonight on Channel 7 News
After winning The Pitch challenge on Gruen Transfer back in July with a campaign to sell compulsory euthanasia for the over-80s, The Works, Sydney has today shot a 45 second commercial for euthanasia advocates, the Exit Foundation headed by Dr Philip Nitschke.
The “making of” will be shown on Channel 7 news tonight.
The spot, shot by The Works partner Kevin Macmillan, aims to makepeople think about the power of choice. The completed ad will premierein Brisbane on Sunday 12 September between 8.30 and 9.30pm during Bones.
It will air in Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth on Wednesday 15 September from 10.30pm during Aussie drama, The Suspects.

I think with the state of our economy and capitalism in general the government may well approve it. That is after slapping a great big tax on it first.
What a very strange article.
It’s promoting the ‘making of’ an advert which will be shown on a tv program long before the ad has even premiered; usually ‘the making of’ anything is aired when the film or program it is about has been hugely successful or intriguing.
Plus, neither the ad or the ‘making of’ the ad can be found here.
there’s nothing strange about it at all.
both the ‘making of’ program and the write-up in campaign brief are called ‘PR’
if the production costs are less than media costs it may be worth not showing the commercial at all, other than in the news
