Worst.jpgUPDATED – In line with the ‘Silence Anonymous’ theme, there will be a live Twitter feed for attendees at the MADC Awards this Friday night, 27th August. The theme, based on the silent and scathing comments people post on industry blogs such as this, urges people to silence them with great work.

“The comments will be projected live onto a screen, so if you want to tweet about the work as it wins, bring your phone on the night and tweet adding #madc,” said MADC President Richard Ralphsmith.

Put your name to your comments if you dare.

The theme is also reflected in the fact that the night is a masquerade party – arrive anonymous and leave famous. But there’s a catch: no mask, no entry. There are two costume shops listed on the tickets, offering discounted masks to attendees.

Terrible.jpgVomiting.jpgTicket sales have been extremely strong, say the organisers. Thecut-off time for ticket purchases is noon on Wednesday, so theorganisers are urging people to hurry up and download the form from www.madc.com.au fill it out (it’s an unlocked PDF) and email it back in as soon as possible.

The Awards had a record number of entries this year, with the judgingpanels often debating long and hard over what to include in the Show. The MADC Committee says the results are a tight showcase of the bestwork in the country – with a few surprises thrown in.

The Awards are this Friday night, 27th August and start at 7pm sharp.
