Collider shows ‘intense pleasure’ at AEAF Awards
Sydney-based Collider was awarded the top prize for Commercials – Visual Effects at the 2010 Australian Effects and Animation Festival Awards (AEAF) last night for Nestle Club ‘Intense Pleasure’, via agency JWT Sydney. The spot was directed by Collider co-founder and creative director, Andrew van der Westhuyzen.
Collider beat a number of highly respected international animation and post houses for the win, including MPC London, MPC Los Angeles and Framestore. It’s Collider’s second win in a row at the AEAF Awards, having scored top prize last year for Joel Pront’s Target Toy Sale commercial via The Campaign Palace, Melbourne.
Says van der Westhuyzen: “We were honoured to receive this awardconsidering the incredibly strong line up of finalists from around theworld. I was particularly happy for the team at Collider that worked sohard on it. At the end of the day it was a good result because the guysat JWT understood what we needed to do to get it right.”
