Massive idea… stretched to the Nth online. Be interesting to see the uptake for such a huge undertaking. Shame you have to be a UK resident to win the moola.
Links to the ‘simple moments of pleasure’ campaign and to their (new) Olympics sponsorship so I disagree with the implication that anyone could do this for any brand.
The fact that it is consistent with the Gorilla spot (after a few years) and now links to an Olympic sponsorship programme shows real discipline and a commitment to the campaignability of the idea.
It’s just an incredibly enjoyable piece of film that I could imagine, if I was watching TV I could watch more than once. I probably wouldn’t change the channel to it either.
Branded entertainment finally reaches the big screen. Well done.
I don’t think many people realise it here, but simple strategy barely disguised with a little twist at the end is dying for a far more sophisticated form of communication: emotion.
Just look at Lee Clow’s Apple ads and tell me what the fuck is going on there.
Big & ballsy idea, but pretty low scores on the site.
If the award entry video shows the scores counting up into the millions, we’ll know something fishy has been done. (See what I did there?)

Volvo, addidas, Crazy Al’s Discount Barn.
All of these brands could have run the same ad and linked it to the London Olympics.
I’m so glad ads no longer need to be relevant to the product.
Why am I wasting valuable seconds commenting on this rubbish?
I preferred Finding Nemo

Was that the Freo Dockers theme song at the beginning?
What’s the link to chocolate?
Not sure I get it but that doesn’t stop it being friggin awesome!
Better than a tap dancing cow that’s for sure.
Entertain me and let people talk about who the fantastic ad was for.

What’s the link between opera tickets and old spice?
grow up
It’s a nice bit of animation to watch, although the sea creature animated thing is getting a bit old. It’s not a very good advertisement though.
what’s the link to chocolate????
nice observation captain 80s.
Why is it that after spots like gorilla everything gets complicated? Simplicity is the soul of wit. And this had not a whit of it.
If the ad makes you smile, the link to the brand is there:)
