Mitchell set to sell family company to Aegis

The Herald Sun reports that Australia’s biggest media buyer, Harold Mitchell, is set to sell his family company to UK advertising giant Aegis for more than its $300 million value, with the deal set to be confirmed by noon today.

Contrast this with Photon which remains in a trading halt and in the shit. Mitchells was a a business with a clear reason for being and a guy who was passionate about his trade in the driver’s seat. It wasn’t a ‘play.’ It wasn’t driven by nonsense like ‘synergies’ and ‘cross-selling.’ Good for him.
