AIMIA on the hunt for the next generation of digital talent via internship program

The Australian Interactive Media Industry Association (AIMIA) has put out a call for host companies and students or recent graduates to take part in its growing digital industry internship program.

The AIMIA internship program, now supported by the NSW Government, is designed to create access for undergraduate and post graduate students in the rapidly growing digital media industry. The program brings together Australian higher education organisations and digital media companies to give students a formal, structured internship opportunity while they are still studying or soon after graduation.

Says AIMIA CEO John Butterworth: “Our internship program is already ahuge success and we are excited about the new growth phase we will seein the program with the support of the NSW Government. With mutualbenefits for both companies and interns, it’s the perfect way to fosternew talent in the digital media industry.  We’d love to see more localcompanies join up to get behind the initiative.”

Companiesalready taking part in the program include ABC, S2m, Tigerspike,Dialogue Communications, The Project Factory, Pusher and The Farm.
