Three Aussie entries, two Kiwi entries make the cut at shortlist stage of the Film Craft Lions

Three Australian entries and two New Zealand entries have made the cut at the shortliststage of the inaugural Cannes Film Craft Lions, with only 96entries through worldwide.

Metal will be awarded Saturday night at the Titanium & Integrated Lions ceremony.

Bruce Heald, of Sydney music productioncompany Noise, multi-award winning composition for Optus  ‘Whale’ via M&C Saatchi Sydney is a contenderin the Best Use Of Music category. Heald has already won at the AustralianGuild Of Screen Composers Awards and the London International AdvertisingAwards for his ground-breaking composition.

Also competing for Best Use of Music is Turning Studios Sydney for Sanitarium’s Weet-Bix ‘Tim Cahill – The Opera’ directed by Hamish Rothwell of Goodoil Films Sydney via BWM Sydney.

The other Australian contender is James Boag’s Pure Lager ‘The Island’ directed by Noam Murro of Revolver Sydney and Biscuit Filmworks LA via Publicis Mojo in Cinematography.
